Trusted Stay™
Every requirement a Trusted Stay™ Profile is measured against. Nothing is checked that is not on this page, and nothing on this page is skipped.
Which country is the property in?
Sets the emergency number your guests are given. The town / region above is free text, so this is the only thing that tells us where you are.
Is there a hot tub?
Hot tub — how to use it safely
Cover handling, heat-up time, and any safety notes.
Smoke & CO detectors present?
Trusted Stay review may ask for a dated photo.
Where are the detectors?
e.g. hallway ceiling, each bedroom, top of the stairs.
Review is of the Trusted Stay™ Profile submitted by the host — the answers above and the evidence supplied for them. It is not an inspection of the property, and it is not a certification, ranking, warranty or guarantee of property condition or safety.
The Trusted Stay Badge reflects StaySafe Verified's review and approval of the host's submitted Trusted Stay Profile. It is not an inspection, certification, ranking, warranty or guarantee of property condition or safety.
Is there a fire pit or grill?
Is there a pool?
Pool depth, fencing or gate, and any rules
Depth at each end, whether it is fenced or gated, and anything a guest with children needs to know.
When did you last test them?
Month and year, e.g. May 2026. Guests see this date — it is the difference between "there is a detector" and "somebody checked it".
The property's full address, for an emergency call
Shown only in the StaySafe guide. A guest on the phone to an emergency operator has to be able to say where they are.
Nearest hospital or urgent care
Name and town is enough — e.g. Gettysburg Hospital, Gettysburg.
Is there a fire extinguisher?
Fire extinguisher location
Any cameras or smart devices on the property?
Doorbell cameras, outdoor cameras, smart speakers, noise monitors. Nothing may be hidden — this is the disclosure the Trusted Stay review checks.
Where is each one, and what does it cover?
e.g. Doorbell camera at the front door, covering the porch and driveway. No cameras indoors.
Shock protection on the wet-area outlets?
The outlets near sinks, bathrooms and outdoors. GFCI in the US, RCD elsewhere — the one with the little test button.
Water / gas / breaker shutoff locations
Local emergency information
Nearest hospital / urgent care. In the U.S. guests call 911; elsewhere, the local emergency number.
Where is the first-aid kit?
Location of the first-aid kit; nearest pharmacy / urgent care.
